Allen G. Davis, Sr, 75, died on September 4, 2022 at his home. Born in Northampton on January 25, 1947 he was the son of Normand and Edna (Brown) Davis. He graduated from the Smith Vocational High School in 1965 where he studied house painting and refinishing furniture. He served in the US Army between 1965-1967 working in the motor pool, learning auto mechanics. Al worked as an auto mechanic for more than 25 years between 1967 and 1993. Al was a member of the Easthampton Rod and Gun Club since 1972. In 1976 he met his current wife, widow, Nancy Nickerson. They were later married in 1990. He was proud to support his wife so she could open and operate her own real estate business. Al ran his own business, Allen’s Clean Outs, for about 3 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, playing poker and watching TV. He was a simple man that took pride in serving others.
Al leaves his wife Nancy and her daughter Wendy Nickerson of Hatfield, and her son Peter Nickerson of Temple Texas, Al's son Allen JR. and his wife Kim of Greenfield, one sister Diana her husband Robert Hayden of Easthampton, 3 beloved grandchildren Amanda Rolon, Sabrina Nickerson and Quinn Nickerson.
Boucher – O’Brien Funeral Home has been entrusted with his cremation, His interment will be at the Massachusetts Memorial Veterans cemetery in Agawam, all services are private.
