Edward H. Labrie 1958 - 2026

Edward H. Labrie, 67, passed away peacefully on the morning of July 29, 2026. Born in Northampton, Ed grew up in Southampton, where he spent most of his life.

On March 2, 2019, Ed married the love of his life, Sharon (Hoffman) Labrie. Together they built a wonderful life in Greenfield, with their beloved cat, Grayson. They enjoyed exploring rail trails, taking cruises, and spending time by the ocean. They found beauty in each other’s hearts among the salty air and soothing sights and sounds of the waves. Red Rock Park in Lynn Shore Reservation is of special significance, as that’s where he asked Sharon for her hand in marriage.

Sharon will always hold a special place in his children’s hearts for the love, companionship, and happiness she brought him during his final years.

Ed worked throughout his life in the manufacturing industry. However, his true passion was serving others as a first responder. He enjoyed sharing stories of calls he went on as a firefighter and paramedic with his children about the people he helped and the experiences he encountered throughout his career. His compassion and generous spirit also led him to serve as a Cubmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster, where he found joy in mentoring and encouraging young people.

He will be forever loved and remembered by his children: Raquel Fisher and her husband, Sean Fisher; Michael Labrie; Nicolas Labrie; Shyanne Labrie and her fiancé, Brandon Lanpher; Rheal Labrie and his wife, Cailey Labrie; and Lila Labrie. He was affectionately known as “Pepere” to his beloved granddaughter, Keira Fisher, who adored him.

He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Barbara Hoffman; Steven and Bonnie Hoffman; Scott Hoffman and Kate Kearns. He leaves behind eight brothers and sisters and their families.

All are invited on Thursday August 6th for visitation at The Boucher - O'Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St., Easthampton Beginning at 10AM with a funeral home service at 11:30AM, his burial will follow in St Brigid's Cemetery in Easthampton.
