Joseph E. Reopel 1935-2026

Joseph E. Reopel, 90, died on September 27, 2026 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Northampton on November 8, 1935. He was the son of Roman and Delena Imhoff Reopel . Joe was the husband of Mabel (Cranson) Reopel. He was employed in maintenance at Stanley Home Products. Joe was the type of person that never met a stranger. He loved to play cards every Tuesday night with his buddies from town and would go for morning coffee at Cumberland Farms or Dunkin’ Donuts.

One of the nicest things that he enjoyed in his life, was when he and his wife, Mabel would travel the coast of Maine almost every summer. Joe was an auxiliary police officer in Easthampton and was a member of the American Legion. He leaves behind his brother Arnold Reopel of Hatfield. He was predeceased by his wife, Mabel Reopel, a brother Norman Reopel. Funeral services will be held at the Boucher – O’Brien Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 6 with a with a calling hour from 10 to 11, a burial service will follow in Saint Brigid’s Cemetery, all are welcome to attend.
