Marianne (Burr) Craig, 81, passed away on November 15, 2025 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She was born in Holyoke on July 12, 1944, her parents were William F. and Leona M. (Lake) Burr. She was a lifelong resident of Easthampton growing up there she was a graduate of Easthampton High School and later went onto Kay Harvey Hairdressing Academy, where she earned her license as a professional hairdresser. Marianne worked for over 61 years in the hairdressing industry, she was also the owner of the Beauty Nook. Her love of people and dedication to her job gave her the reward of being not only friends to so many people she served, but also someone who made people feel better because of her talents as a hairdresser. She was also a lifelong member of the Easthampton Congregational Church Marianne loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren in her spare time. She had interest in scrapbooking, card making, crocheting and traveling.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Lorie Harris and Gary Tracy of Westfield, her beloved grandchildren, Marshall Harris, and Brenna Gomez, Christopher Harris and Jessica and Griffin Harris also her great grandchildren, Madison, Benjamin, Kennedy, and Leverett. Marianne will also be missed by her dear brother William F Burr, Jr. of Wisconsin and also leaves her sister Vivian Mehrhoff and her husband, David of Las Vegas. Her nieces and nephew, Leland, Beth, Megan, Amanda and Mollie.
Calling hours will be held at the Boucher - O’Brien Funeral Home 7 Pleasant St., Easthampton on Wednesday, November 19th from 5 to 7 PM.
All are also welcome to a church service on Thursday morning beginning at 10 AM in the Easthampton Congregational Church, 112 Main St , Easthampton. All are invited to the Church Hall afterwards for a reception.
Parking can be found at both the church and next door in the St Phillip’s Church Parking lot.
