Richard Theodore Dion 1933-2026

Richard Dion, 92, of Easthampton, passed away peacefully at home on May 10, 2026.  Richard was born on Pine St. in Easthampton on July 25, 1933, the son of the late Theodore Dion and Rose (Bernier) Dion. 

He was a Korean Veteran serving in the US Navy on the Destroyer Escort, Chester T. O’Brien.   He was employed at Stan Home Products in Easthampton. Richard also worked as a carpenter his whole life, building homes, doll houses and furniture for his family.

Richard married the love of his life, Theresa Angelina DeDeurwaerder in 1955, they were married for 67 years until her death in 2022. 

Richard leaves his loving family who will miss him dearly, sons, Gary and his wife 

Lucy Dion of Westhampton, Michael and his wife Patricia of Easthampton, daughter, Linda Quigley of Easthampton, brothers, Francis Dion of Easthampton, Paul, and his wife Judy Dion of Georgia. His cherished grandchildren Christofer and his wife Ashliegh Quigley, Hannah and her husband Tyler Pease, Jeffery Dion and Daniel Dion, great grandchildren; Collin, Rowan and Alixandra. He was predeceased by his sister Lillian Guglielmo.
