Thomas D. Wallace 1933-2021

Tom Wallace passed away comfortably at home on November 11, 2021. Fittingly, patriotic veteran that he was, he died on Veterans’ Day. He was born and raised in Easthampton, MA. After graduating from Easthampton High School in 1952, he enlisted in the U S Navy. As they say, “Join the Navy and see the world” and see much of it he did! It made him realize “There’s no place like home”. When he retired in 1972 after 20 years of service in the Navy, he met and married Peg (Mary Margaret) Christman, they purchased a home in Easthampton, residing there for 47 years. They had a daughter, Lynn, who was the love of their lives. He also leaves to remember him fondly his cousins: John, Pearse, Saoirse, and Ronan McNally. Besides his family, Tom leaves many friends and will be missed by all. Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 16 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the Boucher O’Brien Funeral Home 7 Pleasant St. in Easthampton. There will be a funeral Mass meeting at Our Lady of the Valley on Adams St. Easthampton on Wednesday at 11 AM.

Tom’s inurnment will be in the Arlington National Cemetery columbarium in Arlington VA. It will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers for memorial contributions, please consider a donation to the Take and Eat Ministry, a meal program for the elderly and homebound in Easthampton, Southampton, and Westhampton. Send contributions to Our Lady of the Valley Parish, (Take and Eat Ministry), 33 Adams St., Easthampton, MA 01027.
