Daniel Slawski, 75, passed away on April 26, 2026, after a long illness. He was born on October 15, 1950, in Savannah, Georgia, to the late Michael and Helena (Pecia) Slawski. Daniel was raised in Holyoke before moving to Easthampton in 1977 with his beloved wife of 48 years, Donna.

He proudly served in both the Army and the Air Force Reserve. He enjoyed many hobbies and had a deep love for cars, music, and history-notably the Civil War.

When he wasn’t tinkering with cars, listening to music, or teaching someone about history, he could be found with his family, his true pride and joy. He always provided a shoulder to cry on and gave the best advice. At his core was an immense love for his family. His favorite story to tell was about the first time he saw Donna; he would say that she was, and still is, the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. He knew right then it was love at first sight.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Donna (Demers) Slawski of Easthampton; their three beloved daughters, Tiffany (Slawski) Simonds and her husband Matthew of Hanson, Amber Slawski of Easthampton, and Krystal Slawski and her fiancé John Witkiewicz of Westfield; and his cherished grandchildren, Ryker and Noelle. He also leaves behind his brother, James Slawski, and his partner, Joanne Berwald of West Springfield, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be 6 – 8PM on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at Boucher-O’Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St Easthampton. The funeral will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026 from the Boucher-O’Brien Funeral Home at 9AM, followed by a mass at Our Lady of the Valley Parish in Easthampton at 10AM followed by his burial in St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Easthampton.
