Gerald F. "Jerry" Wark
Gerald F. "Jerry" Wark, 61, of Easthampton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Jerry was born on January 1, 1962 in Caribou, ME, a beloved son of Joyce M. (Meuse) Wark of Easthampton and the late Gerald H. Wark. He was raised in Easthampton and graduated from Easthampton High School.
He was employed as a mechanical machinist and welder at Ethos Energy in Chicopee. An avid musician, he loved writing music, playing his many guitars and performing music locally. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed hockey and the Boston Bruins. He also enjoyed wood working, model building and karate and was proud to have earned a black belt. Everyone who knew Jerry knew he had a big heart. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and his many friends.
He will be dearly missed by his mother Joyce Wark of Easthampton, Jerry leaves his son, Joshua Tysz of Easthampton; his four grandchildren, Jazmine, Jenisa and Jocelyn Medina and Jordan Tysz; his dear sister, Susan Slattery and her husband, Alan of Easthampton; his dear brother, Scott Wark of Easthampton; and his many dear aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his loving daughter, Jennifer L. Wark.
His family will receive friends on Monday, May 15, 2023 from 4 to 6 PM at the Boucher - O'Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St., Easthampton. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 beginning at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a 10AM Prayer Service. His Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery.
