Joan S. Sierack 1935-2022


Joan S. Sieracki, 87, died after a long illness at Care One in Northampton on Monday morning December 26, 2022. She was the daughter of John Kieszek and Julianna (Gadonska) Kieszek. Born in Northampton MA she attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Easthampton High School. She attended Northampton Commercial College after which she started her working career at United Elastic in the office. Joan then went to work at Kellogg Brush as and worked there for over for nine years. She was a long-time communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality. She was now a Communicant of Our Lady of the Valley Parish.

Joan met her husband Joseph at Mountain Park at a dance. They married in 1959 and shared over 63 years together in Easthampton where they raised their family and enjoyed many happy family times together. Joan loved Polka dancing with her husband at the Hatfield club Barn, Chicopee Polish Home, and several other Polka parties. Most of all she loved her grandchildren. Family meant the world to her especially when she was baking, cooking, making pierogi and golumbki for all of them. Their time together will always be cherished as a blessing.


She will be dearly missed by her husband Joseph P. Sieracki, Sr., she was a beloved mother to son, Joseph P. Sieracki, Jr. and his wife Kristine of Easthampton, and son, Andrew J. Sieracki and his significant other Lisa Sternstrom of Hadley. She was a loving grandmother to Amanda, Victoria, Tamara, Rebecca, Alexander and Lauren. She was a great grandmother to Berrick and Milena. She also leaves her sister Alma Marcinkiewicz of Feeding Hills. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Walter, Chester and Alphonse Kieszek, and Stanley Kierzek, Sally Kieszek, Dolores Bemben and Phyllis Kieszek. All services were private, her interment was held in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Easthampton MA. The Boucher – O’Brien Funeral Home was entrusted with her services.


The Family would like to thank all the dedicated staff and care providers at Care One Northampton Elm Unit, for the love and support they gave to Joan and her family over the last two and a half years.
