Joseph P. Sieracki 1936-2023

Joseph P. Sieracki Passed away at the age of 87 on March 21, 2023. Known as Joe, or Joe Sr. to family and friends, was born in Springfield MA on January 25, 1936, to the late Konstanty and Mary (Nowak) Sieracki. He graduated from Springfield Trade High School in 1955 where he played hockey and proudly wore his number 20 jersey. Upon graduating from High School, Joe went on to work for the Milton Bradley Company, now known as Hasbro in East Longmeadow. Joe retired in the year 2000 on his 64th birthday.

He also served in the Army Reserves from 1954 to 1960.

Joe was a communicant of the former Sacred Heart Church and currently is a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish in Easthampton.

Joe was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality and also a shareholder of the Polish Pulaski Club in Easthampton.

After retirement he worked part-time for Fedor Olds Pontiac as a driver and gofer. As he liked to joke, Go for this, Go for that.

Joe could be seen taking his daily walks around his neighborhood talking to his neighbors, and playing Bocce at Nonotuck Park. But his favorite past time was watching and spending time with his six adorable grandchildren.

Joe will be dearly missed by his children Joseph P. Sieracki, Jr. (Kristine) of Easthampton, and Andrew J Sieracki of Hadley along with his significant other Lisa Sternstrom of Holden.

He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Amanda, Victoria, Tamara, Rebecca, Alexander, and Lauren. He also leaves two great grandchildren Berrick Ryder Arbuckle and Milena Dalton.

Joe leaves a niece Lynn Dobek of East Longmeadow and a nephew Paul Sieracki of Agawam. He also leaves a sister-in-law Alma Marcinkiewicz of Feeding Hills.

Joe was predeceased by his late wife Joan (Kieszek) Sieracki who died on December 26, 2022, his brother Mitzie J. Sieracki, and his sister Emily (Rzasa) Sieracki both of Springfield.

The family wishes to thank Care One Northampton for their compassionate care of Joe during his final days.

Calling hours will take place Friday, March 24, 2023 from 5-7PM at the Boucher – O’Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St. Easthampton. A mass with Christian burial rights will occur on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 10:30AM in Our Lady of the Valley Church, 33 Adams St with burial to follow at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, Easthampton.
