Lea (L’Heureux) LeMoine, 90 passed away on July 30, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 22, 1932 and was raised in Holyoke. She met and married the love of her life, Armand “Lefty” LeMoine in 1950 and they were married for over 64 years. Lea work for Kellogg Brush and retired in 1994 and after that she dedicated her time to meals on wheels for over 14 years, making new friends and bringing joy to people who were not able to get out.
She was predeceased by her husband Armand and also a daughter Rosalie LeMoine.
She will be dearly missed by her children: her daughter, Denise and husband Michael Wehr Sarasota FL, her daughter, Debra and husband Dean Cleveland of Chesterfield, her daughter Michelle LeMoine and partner Warren Gary Mills of Essex Junction, VT and her daughter, Marie Stanisewski of Sarasota, FL. Lea also leaves her son Daniel and his wife Deborah LeMoine of Easthampton, son William and his wife Krissy Zdaniewicz of Chesterfield. Lea was a grandmother to 9, a great grandmother to 18 and a great-great grandmother to 4. Along with several nieces and nephews.
Lea will always be remembered as a kind, warm and loving person. She especially found fulfillment in helping and caring for the elderly. She enjoyed gardening but her life was her family. Lea was known as the “ Mayor of Cherry Street”.
The funeral will be on Monday August 8 from the Boucher-O’Brien Funeral Home At 10 AM with a Mass in Our Lady of the Valley Church for 11 AM, the interment will be alongside her husband at the Massachusetts Memorial Veteran Cemetery in Agawam. Calling hours will be held on Sunday August 7, from 2 to 4PM.
