Lorraine M. Brown 1942-2026

Lorraine Marie Brown, 1942-2026 Easthampton, Lorraine M Brown, passed away peacefully, Friday August 7 at Day Brook Village in Holyoke. Lorraine was born in Easthampton and lived there most of her life. She attended Smith Vocational Agriculture High School in Northampton in Homemaking where she learned how to decorate wedding cakes, something she enjoyed doing for others.

A beautiful soul that enjoyed being with her grandchildren as they grew up. They were very important to her, she would even travel across the country to spend time with them. Some of her favorite memories were Big Rig Day, founded my her loving husband James Brown and her days at Smith College where she met so many students that she continued to stay in touch with.

Lorraine enjoyed sitting on the front porch with family waving at the passing cars and she never missed a hallmark movie during Christmas time. She was a big fan of Elvis Presley, pancakes and root beer floats. She will be missed dearly. Pre-deceased by her husband James Brown and granddaughter Jennifer. She lovingly leaves behind her children Janet Glick (Dennis), Paul Atkinson (Tina), Lisa Vishaway (Todd), James Brown (Reggie), 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and her siblings, Sister Rachel Bushey, Rita Malczynski (John), Robert Bushey and Ann Arel (Bernie).

Calling hours will be held at the Boucher – OBrien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St, Easthampton on Friday, August 21 from 4-6pmwith a Celebration of life and in house prayer service at 5:30PM.
