Patricia (Pat) Kaniecki 1954-2026

Patricia (Pat) Kaniecki passed away at her group home in Chicopee on January 31, 2026. She was born in Southampton on December 22, 1954, to Charles and Catherine Kaniecki. She grew up on her father’s dairy farm in Southampton, where she had a strong love of animals, especially the cats. Every day she helped to herd the cows.

Pat’s love of life and laughter always shined through her disabilities. She enjoyed her many years of working at Sunshine Village, and she built long-lasting friendships with everyone there. She was very thankful for her extended family at the group home, which cared for her for many years. She enjoyed time crafting, going for walks with her brother Tony, attending church services, family picnics, and dancing.

Pat leaves behind her brother Charles Kaniecki, his wife Kathy, her sister Cynthia Gaudet, her husband Tim, her brother Tony, and many nieces and nephews, as well as grand nieces and nephews.
