Philip H. Henchey, 56, died unexpectedly on December 12, 2020 at his home in Northampton. Born on February 12, 1964 he is the son of Lucy (Briere) Henchey and the late James Henchey. He grew up most of his life in Easthampton and was a graduate of Easthampton High School. He worked several jobs, but he enjoyed his time as a school bus driver. After high school he was married and raised his family in West Springfield, he lived in Southampton from 2009 to 2017, after which he moved to Northampton. Philip up was an avid comic book collector, enjoying the tales of many superheroes, specifically his favorite hero Thor. He loved to joke around and have a good time, especially when it was with his family and friends. He will always be remembered as a caring father, loved son and will be dearly missed by his family. Philip was predeceased by his father James in 1994 and leaves his mother Lucy. He also leaves his former wife Lynn (Collinge) Henchey. Philip is survived by his three children, his son Daniel Henchey and his wife Emily Henchey, his daughter Katherine Henchey and his granddaughter Amelia Henchey, and his son Samuel Henchey. He leaves his sister Marie Demarey and her husband Michael Demarey, his niece Brittany Manley and her husband Stephan Manley, and nephew Kevin McNeil. Because of Covid all services will be private. A Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Valley to honor his life. The Boucher O’Brien Funeral Home of Easthampton was entrusted with his cremation.
