Robert James Kelley, 88, passed away on April 22, 2020 at Care One Nursing Home of Northampton from complications due to COVID-19. He was born on April 15, 1932 in Northampton to the late James Kelley and Anna Prozinski Kelley of Florence. He proudly served his country in the United State Marine Corp and was a veteran of the Korean War. He owned Kelley‘s Restaurant in Greenfield for many years before working in the South Deerfield Elementary school for more than 20 years. Bob was an active member of the Moose Lodge 997 in Greenfield for many years. He was predeceased by his wife Shirley (Miller) Kelley and daughter Deborah Ann Martin of Easthampton.
He is survived by his daughter Kathleen and her husband Wayne Eastman of Goshen, his daughter Miriam Dominique of Washington State, his son Robert and his wife Marla Kelley of Southampton, his daughter Lynne and her husband Javad Movassaghi of New Hampshire, daughters Dorothy, Roberta, Stephanie and Jennnifer Kelley of Connecticut, his sister Joan LaCourse of Florida as well as many wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held at Boucher – O’Brien Funeral Home , 7 Pleasant St, Easthampton on June 25th from 11:30AM to 1:00PM. Followed by Robert’s funeral service at 2PM at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam with Military Honors.
