Ronald Allen Teal,73, of Southampton passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on January 15, 2021. Born in Troy, NY on September 25, 1947 he was the son of the late Alfred and Doris (Yerden) Teal. Ron grew up in Poestenkill, NY and was a graduate of Averill Park High School, he was drafted into the Army at the age of 18 and served for two years in Vietnam.
He returned home and started building homes with his father in New York while starting his family with his former wife Penny Reynolds. Later, he became a salesman for Coffee Pause Company beginning in NY and later relocating to Southwick, MA with his wife Debra Gardner.
Ron’s great pride and dedication to his work as the company’s manager was instrumental in the success of the Coffee Pause Company for over 41 years. In 2010 he met the love of his life Lisa Simard and in 2014 they married. Ron retired in 2016 and then started working as a driver for Riverside Industries in Easthampton where he worked until recently.
In 2011 he was diagnosed with prostate cancer which was a battle he fought gallantly. When he began his cancer treatments, the job at Riverside was a great source of strength and comfort to him. He loved helping all his clients who took a very special place in his heart. When his battle was raging on, he had a reason to show up each day even when he wasn’t feeling his best. Ron would never let anyone down.
Ron enjoyed motorcycle riding as well as spending numerous years with his family riding their quads and snowmobiles. As of late, you could find him riding his lawn tractor turned snowblower at his home in Southampton. Throughout his life he had a great love for food and snacks but overall he had an immense love for his family. He was happiest when he was able to be the “goofy Grampy” whether it be singing or dancing, he was always making his loved ones giggle. For the last 10 years Ron and Lisa made their lives a testament by cherishing every moment together while living life to the fullest.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Lisa (Perrier-Simard) Teal of Southampton.
