Timothy Scott Geary, 57, of Southampton, MA passed away on July 1, 2022 after a brief illness with his family by his side.
Tim was born in Northampton Mass to Irving and Kathleen (Furnier) Geary on September 8,1964. He was a 1982 graduate of Westhampton High School. He married Nancy Geary on August 12, 2006 in Leeds, MA, with special guest, a baby moose. He worked in food service for most of his adult life starting at The Hilton in Northampton, and The Hotel Northampton. Several years ago he made a change, going back to school and driving a tractor trailer for several area companies. He absolutely loved driving. Tim was also a very competitive player, always trying his hardest, no matter the game. Whether it was softball or ping pong with the kids. Always a good sport even when one of the kids beat him. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoors-man and enjoyed golf as well. Tim is preceded in death by his father Irving.
Tim is survived by his wife Nancy (Brin) Geary of Southampton, MA. His Children, Joseph Geary and wife Paige, of Colrain, Michael Geary of Easthampton, MA, Alan Peterson and fiance Emmie Damon of Greenfield, MA, and Samantha Peterson also of Greenfield, MA.
He is survived by three grandchildren, Violet, Arianna, and Karter, who he doted on. Tim is also survived by his mother, Kathleen Geary of Williamsburg, MA as well as three brothers, Gary and wife Ann Geary of Williamsburg, MA, Patrick and wife Krista Geary of Colrain, MA, Bud and wife Jen Geary of Rhode Island. He also leaves behind his Brother in law Robert Brin of Southampton, MA, along with several aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Tim was larger than life and made friends with everyone he met.
A memorial service will be 5:00 to 7:00pm on Friday July 8th at the Boucher-O’Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant Street, Easthampton, MA.
