William Hussey 1959-2021


William Hussey, 62, died on November 27, 2021 at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton. Born in Springfield on June 10, 1959, he was the son of William and Gail (Peterson) Hussey.


Will grew up in Holyoke and then later moved to Northampton, where he graduated from Northampton High School. He worked for the Hotel Northampton in maintenance as a supervisor and then went on to become a self-employed handyman in the greater Eastampton area, he also prided himself on being a talented mechanic. Throughout his life he had a love of animals especially cats, he was also a Tom Brady Patriots fan and in his spare time enjoyed fishing.


He will be dearly missed by his five sisters; Beverly Truehart and her husband Don of Easthampton, Jo Ann Hathaway and Aaron of San Diego California, Kathleen Golaski and husband William of Florence, Cherilyn Hussey and Tony of Los Angeles California and Laura Thibodeau and Shawn of Easthampton. Will was predeceased by his parents William and Gail Hussey and also a sister Lynn Hussey. He leaves three nephews, two nieces and many friends.


Calling hours will be held from the Boucher-O’Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St. Easthampton on Friday, December 3 from 5 to 7 PM.


A celebration of life will be held by the family to be announced, at a later date. If you would like to make a donation in William’s name please make it to the Westfield Homeless Cat Project, 1124 East Mountain Road Westfield, MA 01085.
