Carlos R. Picot 1978-2025

Carlos R. Picot passed away on June 29th, 2025, at the age of 46. Born on August 13th, 1978, in Holyoke, Massachusetts, Carlos was a vibrant and active person. He was a member of both the swim and football teams for Northampton Blue Devils, showcasing his athleticism and team spirit. He was a proud, active and decorated member of the Civil Air Patrol growing up, achieved many awards and enjoyed anything aviation related. After graduating from Northampton High School in 1997, he lived in Burlington, Vermont; Kissimmee, Florida; then moved back home to Massachusetts, settling down in Easthampton to be closer to his cherished family and friends.


He was an avid pool player, as well an avid snowboarder amongst many things. He had an eye for art, and an ear for music, and had his unique style which everyone knew was true to his fashion with a larger-than-life aura. He enjoyed spending as much time as he could with friends and family, attending numerous social gatherings, just so he could be surround by them.


Carlos is survived by his parents Ines Purcell and Gary Houle, as well as brother Jose Picot of Holyoke; and Amy Purcell of Ashfield; Gary Houle Jr and family of Coventry, Connecticut; Father Efrain Picot of Puerto Rico; and Sister Damaris Picot of Rhode Island; brothers Efrain and Alex Picot of Connecticut.


Carlos is predeceased by three brothers, Efrain Jr, Alex, Javier Picot.

The number of aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins is large like the number of friends, all of whom he cared for that all loved him back, which only shows his kindness and loyalty.


A Graveside service for Carlos will be held on Saturday July 19, 2025 at 10AM in Saint Brigid’s Cemetery, 91 Everett St., Easthampton. Boucher – O’Brien Funeral Home in Easthampton has been entrust with his service.


In lieu of flowers, it’s respectfully requested that donations be made to the GoFundMe that has been set up. Any additional funds that are not directly required for Carlos’s final expenses, will be forwarded to www.diabetes.org to help find a cure (we hope) for diabetes.
