Edward Ronald Besko, 70, passed away at home on December 30, 2022. Born in Northampton on February 2, 1952, he was the son of Edward and Jennie (Samul) Besko. Edward was a graduate of Holyoke Trade School, and he went on to become a printer at AMPAD for 30 years until their closing in 2005. He was a lifelong resident of Easthampton, he loved the NY Giants, Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics teams. Edward enjoyed playing Blackjack and Baccarat at the Casino. He was involved in the Easthampton Senior Center activities and belonged to the walking group. He loved his cats Violet and Kiwi and enjoyed watching his grand dogs, Barkley and Lyla.
Edward leaves his son Brian Besko and his wife Courtney of Longmeadow, along with his soon to be expected grandchild. His former wife Debra J. (Harrop) Besko of South Hadley, his brothers Thomas and his wife Maryanne Besko of Easthampton, Dennis and his wife Joanne Besko of Poughkeepsie NY, his sisters, Barbara Boutin of Chicopee, Sandra Fondakowski of Westhampton and Diane Biladeau of Easthampton.
Calling hours will be held from the Boucher- O’Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St. Easthampton, MA, Thursday, January 5th from 10:00- 11:30AM with a prayer service at 11:30, his burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Dakin Humane Society in Springfield, MA in Edward’s name.
