Fern Laprade, mother of four generations, died on Friday, July 16th after a brief illness and just a few weeks short of her ninety-ninth birthday. She was a lifelong resident of this area and was still living in her house in Loudville after 73 years. She was a seamstress and tailor. Pre-deceased by husband Raymond V Laprade; survived by children: Raymond (Fran) Laprade of Ball Ground, GA, Marianne Miles of Baldwinsville, NY and Anne Marie Frank of Florence, MA; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-granddaughter; brother Armand (Irene) Labrie of Southampton; and a plethora of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Fern’s Funeral Will be Wednesday July 21, 2021, beginning at 9 AM at the Boucher-O’Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St., Easthampton with a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Valley Parish at 10 AM, a burial will follow in Saint Brigid's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, July 20, 2021, from 4-6PM. The family has requested that people attending the services to please wear a mask.
