Audrey Gale (Mercer) Belanger, 81, of Mt. Tom Avenue passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Northampton, Gale was the daughter of the late Anne (Cernak) Mercer and Walter Casnove Douglas Mercer.
Gale worked for many years at the former Aqua Vitae restaurant in Hadley and then as a cashier at Big Y in Southampton. She had many regulars and always had a smile for her customers.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Serge Belanger. They enjoyed many years of loving companionship, traveling together throughout the world, enjoying time in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, visiting with friends and family, and cheering their children and grandchildren on at sporting events. Gale was adored by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will deeply miss their Grandma.
She leaves her daughter Renee Kroll and her husband Rick of Easthampton; her sons Jeffrey Belanger and his wife Lauren of North Port, Florida, and Scott Belanger of Greenfield; her loving partner Victor MacAdam; her sister Beverly Larochelle of Easthampton; her grandchildren Dustin Belanger, Aimee Desrosiers and her husband Matt, Michelle Kroll, Aidan Belanger, and Kiernan Crough; her cherished great-grandchildren Isabelle and Adelaide Desrosiers and Jack Droser; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Friday February 10th 5-7PM at Boucher – O’Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St, Easthampton. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at a later date.
