Gertrude B. “Trudy” (Stache) Couture, 95, passed away at Chestnut Hill of East Longmeadow on May 5, 2021. She was born in Holyoke on February 20, 1926 to the late William and Gertrude (Loescher) Stache. Gertrude is predeceased by her Husband John and her son Gary Couture. Gertrude’s passion was music, she loved playing the piano and had an amazing singing voice. She loved gardening in her flower garden and was totally devoted to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She leaves her loving daughters Linda Carswell of Southampton and Donna Couture of Georgetown, ME, and her sister Dorene Corey of Maine. Her beloved grandchildren Jason Couture, Morgan Brodeur, Chelsie Cremona and Gary Couture. Great Grandchildren Reece, Avery, Logan, Aubrey, Elena, Fiona, Lilah - Grace and Theodore
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 11AM on Thursday May 13 in Southampton Center Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Boucher – O’Brien Funeral Home in Easthampton was entrusted with her arrangements.
