Joaquim "Jack" Noguiera Goncalves, 96, of Ludlow, MA, peacefully passed away at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor, Florida on March 25th, 2024. Joaquim, known as Jack to his family and friends, was born on November 17th, 1927, in Lisbon, Portugal. He was the youngest son of the late Jose and Gracinda Goncalves and was predeceased by his brother, Filipe Goncalves.
For over 70 years, Jack created a loving home in Ludlow, Massachusetts, alongside his beloved wife, Adelina Batista Goncalves. He is survived by his wife and leaves behind his daughter, Grace Dolan, and her husband, Charles, his son, Phil Goncalves, and his wife, Penny, as well as his four grandchildren – Meghan Leahy and her husband, Steven, Kace Dolan and their fiancée, Heather Philben, Stephanie Goncalves, and Nicholas Goncalves.
Jack dedicated many years as a foreman at American Bosch before his retirement. However, his greatest joy in life came from spending cherished moments with his family. He loved visiting the beach, spending time in Florida, rooting for the Celtics, and passionately supporting his favorite soccer team, S.L. Benfica.
Services and funeral arrangements were privately held by the family with Boucher O’Brien Funeral Home.
