Kathleen M. Peters


A resident at the Center for Extended in Care at Amherst, Kathleen (Kathy) (Dansereau) Peters died on November 15, 1920. She was born February 28, 1940 in Boston MA to John & Agnes Shea. Kathy was one of the youngest of fourteen children, all of whom were orphaned when her parents succumbed to tuberculosis in the early 1940’s. Kathy was then adopted by Leroy & Delmina Dansereau and raised in Haydenville MA. She played the piano and loved singing, cared deeply for animals, loved swimming and reading. As a young woman she worked as a secretary at the University of Massachusetts.

She is pre-deceased by her husband Donald F. Peters of Greenfield, her former husband Jerry Graveline of Easthampton, her son Matthew Graveline of Hadley, granddaughter Cassandra Peters, and all her siblings. She is survived by her daughter Laura Graveline of Vermont, her son Michael Peters and her grandchildren Alicia and Gabriel of Greenfield, her cousin Betty Zeitler of Hatfield, and several nieces and nephews.

Boucher O’Brien Funeral Home in Easthampton has been entrusted with her cremation. Her ashes will be interred at a later date. Any donations in her memory can be made to the Center for Self Reliance, 156 Main St, Greenfield MA, 01301
