Lorraine B. Tatro, 76, passed away on January 11, 2022 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Agawam. Born on February 16, 1945 she was the daughter of the late Francis and Florence (LaClair) Charette. Lorraine grew up in Ellenburg, NY on her father’s dairy farm and was a graduate of Ellenburg Central High School. She married the love of her life Paul Tatro in 1971 and they spent over 50 years together raising a family, taking numerous trips and enjoying all that life had to offer. Lorraine was retired from her position as a Human Resource Specialist at the VA Medical Center in Leeds.
She will be dearly missed by her beloved husband Paul of Easthampton, her two daughters Allison Haswell, and her husband King of Oswego, NY and Kristine Anischik, and her fiancé David Neal of Westfield. Her beloved grandchildren; Katherine, Loryn, Abigail, Mackenzie and Paige. She also leaves a sister Elaine Trombley of Chicopee, and a brother Royal Charette of Farmington, NY along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters; Veronica LaClair and Bertha Snay and brothers; Raymond, Morris and Leo Charette.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday beginning at 10 AM from the Boucher-O’Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St., Easthampton, with a funeral liturgy at Our Lady of the Valley Parish at 11 AM, proceeding to the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery for burial. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 6 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
