Pamela Ashton Tessier 1946-2021


Pamela Ashton Tessier, 75, of Easthampton passed away peacefully on October11th, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years Roland Tessier. She was born in Vermont to the late Donald Ashton and June (Fritz) Ashton of Easthampton MA.


Pamela attended Immaculate Conception School in Easthampton and St. Michael’s High School in Northampton, graduating in 1964. She always had a very strong work ethic. Pamela began her career with New England Telephone Company (NETC) at the switchboard and quickly moved up into management positions. Retiring after 30 years from NETC, she worked with her husband at their family-owned business, Roland’s Motor Works, LLC in Northampton MA. This year marked RMW’s 30th anniversary.


Pamela had a very strong faith and was an active member of the Restored Church of God. She deeply enjoyed many wonderful times spent with her family and friends, church brethren, and customers. Over the years, she also enjoyed taking many trips with her husband, family, and friends, playing golf, outdoor winter sports, taking regular trips to New York City to see Broadway shows and ballets, trips to the beach, live music (including her husband’s and son’s bands), shopping, traveling, power walks with her sister, and leading the ladies rides out of the shop.


Pamela is survived by her daughter Tina Tessier Champagne and two sons Kenneth Tessier and Donald Tessier. She also leaves her grandchildren Jennifer, Michael and Carisa Rehbein, Samantha Tessier-Dunn, Nikki Tessier-Dunn, Monica and Zachary Tessier, great-granddaughter Hayden Bedard, and great-grandson Oliver Tessier.


Pamela was the oldest of eight children and is survived by her siblings and their spouses Craig and Avis Ashton, Mary Jane and Richard Fausel, Joseph Ashton, Jerome and Maryann Ashton, John Ashton. She is predeceased by siblings Donald Ashton Jr. (killed in action in the Vietnam War) and Denise Ashton. Pamela also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, and the extended Tessier family.


Pamela is very deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Calling hours will be at the Boucher-O’Brien Funeral Home located at 7 Pleasant Street in Easthampton MA on Sunday October 17th, 2021 from 10:00-12:00, immediately followed by a service in celebration of Pamela’s life from 12:00-1:00. The burial will be October 18th at 10:00AM at the St. Brigid Cemetery on 91 Everette Street Easthampton, MA.
